Agent brief
Overview
Slovenia is the easiest country in this region to operate and the most efficient to add to an itinerary — compact, well-surfaced roads, everything within a two-hour drive of everything else. Agents building a Croatia programme can add Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Postojna Cave for two or three nights without disrupting the route. We run it as a module for exactly that reason. Bled is the photograph clients come for, Postojna and Predjama work as a paired day operation, Ljubljana handles the urban night, and Piran gives a short Adriatic coastal option for programmes not continuing into Croatia. Vehicle sizing matters more here than distance. Bled's lakeside and the older parts of Ljubljana constrain large coaches, so groups above a certain size get split transport or a different drop strategy — we'll flag it at quote stage rather than at the gate.

What agents should know about Slovenia
Trade points
- Best season: May–Sep for lakes and countryside. Dec–Feb for the Julian Alps ski product. Apr and Oct are workable and cheaper.
- Connectivity: One-stop via European hubs to Ljubljana, or overland from Zagreb, Venice or Salzburg.
- Visa: Schengen — verify current appointment lead times before quoting.
- Typical itinerary: 3N as a Croatia or Austria extension; 5N/6D standalone with the Alps.
- Currency: euro.
- Operational note: large coach access at Bled and in central Ljubljana is restricted. Size the vehicle to the itinerary.
